The Aéroport Saguenay-Bagotville (YBG) is a division of Promotion Saguenay that operates the civilian portion of the aerodrome. Co-located with CFB Bagotville of the Royal Canadian Air Force provides undeniable advantages including two runways that are 6,000 and 10,000 feet long and can accommodate all aircraft types, including most types of wide-bodied aircraft.
The airport is operated year-round, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and throughout all weather conditions. The Aéroport Saguenay-Bagotville is one of the better equipped regional airports throughout Québec in terms of technology and infrastructure as well as across Canada in its category.
General aviation aircraft are welcome. Pilots must comply with the procedures outlined in aircraft publications namely request a Prior permission to land at coe@forces.gc.ca. All aircraft wishing to land at the Aéroport Saguenay-Bagotville are required to secure ground handling services prior to arrival. The Trans-Sol Aviation company is the authorized service provider of a variety of services for aircraft, passengers and aircrews. AvJet is the authorized fuel provider.
Our mission
Promotion Saguenay is the economic development society in Saguenay. This self-governing corporation with 55 employees, is supported by a board of directors composed of men and women in business from various branches of economic activity.

Promotion Saguenay is an integrated organization that unites a wide range of services and expertise in industrial, commercial, tourist and airport development.
Promotion Saguenay began in September 2002 by regrouping the various economic development organisations of the former municipalities that are now part of the expanded city of Saguenay.
Its mission is to contribute to Saguenay's economic development by mobilizing and accompanying entrepreneurs and stakeholders present and / or future within Saguenay’s territory. Promotion Saguenay is also responsible for the promotion of the Saguenay destination and is implicated in the various efforts to develop its tourism, business and sports convention offerings and cultural events.
